Hiking with Rappleyeas

Aaron and Jarom had some shoe problems and poor Aaron ended up wearing my Teva flip flops. They were too narrow so his pinky toes hung out off the edge.

We loved seeing My sister and her family this year. North Carolina is a long ways for them to come! The hike is Burnt timber trail off merlin Galice Rd.

Sarah's Illinois Rafting trip August 2011

This is actually the 3rd night at callier creek. Randalls bag got soaked so he had all his things spread out over the rocks to dry

2nd night at pink rock.

Richard taking my boat down Righty tighty rapid. Us girls discovered if it had a name that meant it was bad. There was one named " The Boat shredder! "

Richard on a fun little drop...oh wait..I mean Kandis with Richard on the back.

Pam with her Purple Boat!

Sarah in the rapid

Camping in style with couches and steaks!

The green wall. This is where we had 2 boats stuck for a couple of hours and we lost Randalls paddle. We're all trying to get things together.

Submarine hole! This was so neat to watch. they would hook a kayak to the rope at the beginning of the rapid then Richard would real it in and shoot it out across the river where Randy roped it around the big rocks. pretty cool.

The last day, Matt Thomson doing one of his backflips.

Robert and the kids waiting at the end!

Getting ready for the drive home. What a great experience!

Mt. Shasta Climb August 2011

Okay, I am sorry I am having problems with the computer and I cant arrange the pictures in order. I will try to explain each one.

The climb to the summit. You hike in the first day and set up base camp and get lots of rest. Then at 3am you hike to the summit before it gets hot and the snow gets slushy.

Base camp day 1

The Summit. Elevation 14162! On top of the world.....or california and oregon anyway!

The steep climb up

Summit with David allen, Andrew Allen, Kaleb Wagner and Robert

Goodmorning sunshine! Ready to hike

David Allen getting a drink.

The sun starting to come up

Prehike...at the end of the blog....I'll have to fix that!

We saw Marc Cohn and Mary Jane Carpenter? I might not have said her name right. We really enjoyed being there and the music was awesome! It was a little hard to fit in our seats with all our Motorcycle gear though!

Our picnic place on Emigrant Lake we have affectionetly named " Strawberry Hill"

You have to go in the canoe to get there! It was our first time in it too.

Bruce's Favorite thing in the world.....Daddy's Motorcycle gear!
